Collaborative Business Planning (CBP) is a powerful adjunct to the QualiWare Enterprise Architecture platform and available as a managed service on the Azure Cloud. CBP supports well-established Lean Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Activity-Based Planning (ABP) methodologies which enable stakeholders across the organization to develop, analyze and deploy operational and financial results for improved decision-making. As such, CBP fully meets Gartner’s definition of a Digital Twin of the Organization (DTO):

"A DTO is a dynamic software model of any organization that relies on operational and contextual data to understand how an organization operationalizes its business model, connects with its current state, responds to changes, deploys resources, and delivers customer value."

This 4 x 1/2 day virtual workshop is offered to new and interested users of CBP-DTO assigned the responsibility of building, validating, and generating meaningful results from CBP-DTO models. Access to the CBP Cloud is provided for each participant to support a step-by-step learning approach and complete hands-on exercises. Participants come away with “ready to apply” tips, techniques, and templates that enable them as CBP-DTO Modelers.

Key Learning Objectives

  • Learn the architectural structure of CBP-DTO within the QualiWare platform
  • Understand the concepts of LeanVSM and ABP using the building blocks of CBP
  • Explore various data entry and results display options, and how to validate models
  • Learn how to automate data entry and results integration
  • Develop CBP-DTO reports and export results to Excel or BI tools for further analytics
  • Appreciate new business insights that can be delivered using QualiWare’s web interface

Who Should Attend and Why?

This workshop provides foundational training on developing CBP-DTO business models to help organizations collaborate to improve organizational performance. It will benefit:

  • Business Analysts who will act as conduits between the CBP-DTO Modelers and the business users of DTO-CBP information
  • Internal or External Consultants interested in learning the fundamentals of CBP-DTO on behalf of their organizations or clients

Pre-requite training: Existing experience with Excel; process diagramming tools (such as PowerPoint or Visio); and/or data visualization tools (such as Power BI) would be beneficial but not essential. Experience with QualiWare is not required.
