Change Management: Foundations for People Leaders
Overview
This leader-focused workshop introduces foundational change leadership concepts to support People Leaders accountable for initiating, sponsoring, managing or overseeing organizational change at Algonquin College. Participants will explore why change efforts often struggle, the role leaders play in driving adoption and engagement, and how change-management principles apply within Algonquin’s organizational environment.

Facilitator Bio:
Mark retired from a successful Naval career in 2013, after 37 years serving in leadership and staff appointments in the Navy and in joint headquarters, and rising to the rank of Captain(RCN). Since retiring, he has run a highly regarded consulting practice, with clients in the medical, academic, social enterprise and government spheres. Since 2015, he has been an instructor in leadership and change management at Algonquin College’s Corporate Training Centre, and is now president of his own training and consulting company, Mark R Eldridge & Associates Inc. He is an accredited Project Management Practitioner, an accredited Change Management Practitioner, and has led an array of change projects, including multi-million-dollar, enterprise-wide IT insertion and national organizational redesign initiatives.
