What will be served for lunch?

Our lunch features delicious vegetarian chili with basmati rice and garlic naan bread, cookie and fruit. Warm beverages including tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available.

Can I bring my own lunch?

We ask that all visitors refrain from bringing your own food onto our site. If you have special dietary needs please reach out as we can accommodate most requirements.

Will we be able to make bannock in the long house

Accepted Answer

Yes! You be able to cook bannock around our long house fire. Please note, this experience is by donation ($1 suggested)

Question 4

Do I have to arrive right at the start time?

Accepted Answer

No. You are welcome to come and go at any point during the day, but please note the specified times for food and beverage service. In order to manage capacity, we will only be serving you lunch during the time you selected at booking.

Do I have to pre-register or can I get a ticket at the door?

We do require pre-registration so we can adequately prepare lunch. Ticket sales will close at noon on January 1, 2024

I am a school administrator/preschool teacher/EA, do I count as an educator?

Yes! If you work in the field of education we want to celebrate your work during your winter break and welcome you and your family to Cheakamus Centre.

Where do we park/check-in?

Accepted Answer

You will be coming to Cheakamus Centre's South entrance, which is the first entrance into Cheakamus Centre. This is located at1600 Paradise Valley Road. You will then follow signs to the Environmental Learning Centre (ELC) and Eagle Viewing event. Check-in is inside the ELC.
