Overview

This coaching cohort is a peer-led, supportive space for folx who are struggling with money or have questions about their finances.

For Whom?

Those who desire more community, have questions or worries about their finances, and want to better understand their relationship with money from a trauma-informed perspective. This group was created with people who are queer, chronically ill, neurodivergent, racialized, or otherwise marginalized in mind.

When + Where?

This group will run on Wednesdays, 5-6 pm PT (8-9pm ET), biweekly, for 6 sessions - 2 sessions per month for 3 months.

The dates for this group are October 15th & 29th, November 12th & 26th, December 10th & 17th. Then, the group will be open for rejoining.

These are virtual sessions on Zoom.

BONUS: You'll also get access to a private podcast where you can ask questions and get them answered! I'll record an episode for each topic once a week.

You do not have to be available for every session to join the group! Your first missed session will incur no fee. Your second missed session will incur half the fee. After this, you will be charged in full for missed sessions. This is because when you sign up, you are committing to a container where we build community with one another. It's hard to do that when you aren't there!

Come as you are, but please do come! I totally understand that things happen or chronic illness can make it hard - that's why you can show up as you are; use the chat if you need to be off camera, stay off camera but unmute to speak, or show us your lovely face and only use the chat, or be looking down as you play with slime or fidget toys.

Who Is Our Facilitator?

Sareeta Lopez is a trauma-informed certified personal finance coach (and queer femme!) who believes that we all deserve to have our basic needs met, without having to be a robot that has to produce 24/7. You are not valueless if you can't work, or if you need rest.

Using her skills as a professional educator, Sareeta creates a warm, inviting atmosphere for folks to wrestle with tough questions and discover exciting answers. She is a certified You Need a Budget coach and is Trauma of Money- certified.

Equity Rate: $10 (sold out)

Solidarity Rate: $20

Redistribution Rate: $30

There are two pay-what-you-can slots available for BIPOC only (1 left!) and the group will be capped at 10 people.

How Registration Works

Eventbrite's recurring event feature allows you to register for each separate date, but you do not need to do so. Choose the first date and register through there.

Your payment on Eventbrite will cover the first session. After that, you'll be charged biweekly before each session - I'll collect your payment information separately and will charge you automatically via my secure payment processor, Stripe.

How Is Group Coaching Different From Workshop Series?

In my support group workshop series, I offer six workshops, tailored to different topics for exploration. In group coaching, we're processing what you come in with – the issues you're currently struggling with or thinking about – without a set plan. While group coaching may involve small-group processing, educational presentations, resources, and other offerings inherent to workshop series, depending on what members desire, the point of group coaching is to talk as a large group with a facilitator present.

How Is Group Coaching Different From One-on-One Coaching?

In a lot of ways, they're similar: You come in with something on your mind, and we process it. What makes it different is mostly that instead of doing that work one-on-one, we're doing it in a group setting. This means that along with professional facilitation, you also get built-in peer support and community! Group coaching also allows for access to coaching at a lower fee.
