The City of New Westminster is continuing its public engagement on COVID-19 recovery and building a stronger, more equitable community as we move through the pandemic and beyond.
We have heard about community members’ priorities and ideas through an online survey conducted through July, and now we want to bring small groups of residents together to talk about some of the big issues we are facing as a City: climate action, affordability, racism, supports for vulnerable residents, sustainable transportation, health and safety through COVID-19, employment and economy, and others.
Join your neighbours to brainstorm ideas, identify short-term actions, and build stronger connections.
Based on input received through the online survey, we are offering a variety of dates and times for these sessions, as well as different formats – online, in-person with social distancing and other COVID-19 protocols, and by telephone. If none of the available dates work for your schedule, please email engage@newwestcity.ca and we will work to ensure you are able to participate.
We ask that residents please select only one session in which to participate, so that we can include as many community members as possible across the different sessions.
Childcare for the in-person sessions, as well as translation, ASL interpretation, tech tutorials for the Zoom sessions, and other supports are available by request – please email engage@newwestcity.ca with your requests and any questions.
