  • Interested in adding new skills to your “toolkit”?
  • Seeking new ways to animate our diocesan vision in practical ways in your church and community?

The Community of Learning is a new educational approach to lay ministry leadership formation, offered in several modules. Led by experts within the diocesan family, the program is designed to equip lay leaders to be ministers of reconciliation within and beyond the church.

Module 1 – Conflict: Language and Resolution

Community of Learning Faculty

Dr. Marnie Jull is associate professor and program head for the MA in Conflict Analysis and Management program at Royal Roads University.

Ms Emily Waterman, MA in Dispute Resolution, is a dispute resolution adviser, facilitator and trainer specializing in work with high conflict groups in cross-cultural environments.

Mr Wayne Stewart has served as the senior executive of three charities and has taught and coached on the lessons of Susan Scott's Fierce Conversations.

The Rev. Selinde Krayenhoff is a highly regarded teacher of and consultant in non-violent communication.

Ms Catherine Watson has extensive consulting experience in multi-party disputes, environmental impact assessment and disputes, restorative justice, and elder abuse mediation.
