What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Workshop participants can receive a full refund up to 30 days after the ticket is purchased. To obtain a refund, email office@compost.bc.ca. Beyond 30 days, you cannot receive a refund nor switch your ticket to a different workshop.

What happens if I am unable to attend this workshop?

Accepted Answer

Please email office@compost.bc.ca to let us know you are no longer able to attend. If you purchased your ticket within 30 days of the cancellation, you can receive a refund.

Where will this workshop be held?

Accepted Answer

This workshop will be held at the University of Victoria Campus Community Gardens.

Is the event location wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

The garden is reached by mainly paved sidewalk and pathway that turns to gravel paths on a slight slope. The central area surrounding the gazebo and sheds is on flat, packed light gravel. The remainder of the garden is narrow grassy paths from 2-5 feet wide. It is all flat.

Is there a washroom at the event location & accessibility?

Accepted Answer

There is a composting toilet that is the topic of this workshop! It has concrete ramp access and is wheelchair accessible inside the door and outside, where there is soap and a sink. However, the path to access the toilet is currently still mostly grass.

Will there be seating during the workshop?

Accepted Answer

There won't be seating for all provided - consider bringing a camp chair if you require seating while listening to the instructor.

Where should I park?

Accepted Answer

The parking lot at the end of McCoy road is gravel, has no lines, and has room for 5 cars, one of which is a handicapped spot. Depending on parking and vehicle size, only 4 vehicles may fit easily. The lot is "2 Hours Free" as designated by Saanich.

Question 8

How do I get to the University of Victoria Campus Community Garden?

Accepted Answer

There are bus stops along McKenzie ave for the 26 and 39; the best stop is called "McKenzie at Vikes Way." Otherwise, it is easiest to walk from the UVic bus loops for routes like the 4, 7, 11, 14, 15, etc. You are welcome to cycle and bring your bicycle into the garden for the duration of the talk.
