Description

Currently there exists a wide gap between recent developments in econometrics and the econometric methods being used in empirical work. In particular, many new econometric methods seem to be lacking a strong empirical motivation. At the same time, many empirical economists seem to be foregoing the opportunity to use state-of-the-art tools in econometrics.

The purpose of the conference is promote interaction between researchers in the fields of Econometrics and Applied Micro, and to provide examples of researchers who have successfully combined good econometrics with good empirical work. The professors speaking at the event are:
