Overview

Free Postpartum Class instructed by a Public Health Nurse

This class is included in a series of free classes offered by Grande Prairie Public Health. It will cover information related to the postpartum period, as well as information related to your newborn once they arrive. Topics will include:

  1. Physical recovery and warning signs
  2. Emotions
  3. Support and healthy habits
  4. Immediate medical procedures
  5. Skin-to-skin contact
  6. First feeding
  7. Rooming in
  8. Newborn hospital procedures
  9. Newborn appearance
  10. Newborn behavior
  11. Common newborn concerns


*Class will take place in the Rotary Community Room at GPPL
