Cozy Creations From Home: Story Baskets

To All Early Childhood Professionals in Peachland, West Kelowna, Kelowna and Lake Country!

We are bringing our popular Make & Take experience straight to you! Join fellow childcare professionals in an interactive virtual session where you’ll create a unique story basket—perfect for engaging young learners.

Each participant will receive the book ‘Carson crosses Canada’ and a thoughtfully curated resource kit, delivered to your center to support this engaging and interactive experience.

Date: Saturday, January 31st 2026
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Virtual/Zoom (Link will be provided one day before the event)

Fee: $15.00 (book: ‘Carson crosses Canada’ and all materials included )

A Professional Development Certificate for 2 hrs will be provided.

What to expect:

• Learn step-by-step techniques to create your own story basket.
• Explore different materials to visualize your story in an engaging way.
• Learn how to tailor your story basket to different developmental stages and
  connect it to B.C. Early learning Framework.
• Walk away with a ready-to-use story basket and a wealth of ideas for incorporating
  story telling into your curriculum.
• Network with other Early Childhood Educators and share best practices.

We will be delivering the Story Basket take-home kits during the week prior to the virtual workshop. Kindly provide your center’s address so we can arrange delivery. This will allow us to drop off the kits during your work hours. We are giving you the flexibility to choose the location from which you will attend the virtual workshop on Saturday the 31st of January. During the online session that Saturday morning, we will create the Story Baskets together via Zoom, ensuring you are fully prepared with your own kit in front of you. We will coordinate the delivery date with you through email and text message.
