Creative Renewal: An ORCC Art-Based Healing Series - Cohort 14
Overview
Join us at the Jack Purcell Community Centre and Pool for a creative program designed to help you renew your spirit and express yourself through various art forms. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this cohort is open to survivors of gender-based violence looking to tap into their creativity and find healing through art.
Please note this cohort will be the last one offered as part of the Rooted in Practice Anti-Oppressive project through the ORCC and funded by WAGE Canada.
Dates are:
- Session 1- Thursday, January 8, 6:00 - 7:45 PM
- Session 2- Thursday, January 15, 6:00 - 7:45 PM
- Session 3- Thursday, January 22, 6:00 - 7:45 PM

Week 1: Establishing Safety and Building Trust

Week 2: Exploring Emotions through Art
- Use creative activities to explore and express emotions.
Week 3: Reclaiming Power and Identity
- Empower yourself by reclaiming your narrative through art.
Week 4: Celebrating the Journey
- Integrate your creative experiences, set future intentions, and celebrate your progress.
