Thursday, March 12, 2026: 9:30am to 1:00pm

To enroll in this training you need to have successfully completed CWICE 101 thru 106

The Child Welfare Immigration Centre of Excellence (CWICE) has developed a knowledge base surrounding the intersection of child welfare practice and unresolved immigration, settlement, and border-related issues. This certificate-training series has been designed for child welfare professionals to bring awareness, build knowledge capacity in practice, and promote equitable outcomes for children, youth, and families.

CWICE 107 focuses on a range of temporary immigration status in Canada and unresolved immigration status in Canada. This knowledge-based learning will support the growth and continued development of child welfare practice. This one day (or two half day) session(s) will explore terminology and definitions of temporary and unresolved status in Canada, and provide an overview of trafficking and smuggling. Once you have completed this training, you will be able to enroll in CWICE 108.

This is a two-part virtual session.
