  • Understanding the basics of musical notation: whole, half, quarter, eighth, and sixteenth notes.
  • Exploring musical dynamics and articulation : crescendo, decrescendo, staccato, legato, accent, fermata, and syncopation.
  • Learning how to translate rhythm into motion through timing, isolation, and flow.
  • Discovering movement energies: impact, impulse, continuous, and percussive.
  • Practicing how to sync your body with rhythm and tempo using contrast, suspension, and release.
  • Experiencing how your body becomes a living instrument, expressing both sound and silence.
  • Applying musical understanding to enhance your dance, performance, or creative movement practice.
