Overview

Dementia 101 is a learning series for care partners of persons living with dementia.

This four-part series offers care partners of persons living with dementia an opportunity to explore an overview of the dementia journey in an interactive and supportive atmosphere. Each live session features a workbook and helpful follow-up resources to support all learning types.


Week 1: What is Dementia? (January 13th)

First in our four-part series, this session will provide an overview of symptoms, responding to a diagnosis, treatment and being a care partner.

Week 2: Adapting to Brain Changes (January 20rh)

Second in our four-part series, this session explores changes in the brain, adapting to change and maximizing brain health.

Week 3: Planning Ahead (January 27th)

Third in our four-part series, we will talk about common risks people living with dementia may face and how to manage these by planning ahead. We will talk about making legal and financial plans.

Week 4: Building a Circle of Support (February 3rd)

Last in our four-part series, this session will help care partners learn how to recognize stress, manage stress and build a circle of support.


This session will be hosted on Zoom (with a phone-in option).
