About this event
Sami Tsang will demonstrate her unique decorating and handbuilding techniques that she uses for both functional ceramics and sculpture. Participants will get a glimpse into her creative process, inspiration and the narratives her work presents. She'll focus on how she works with both personal and universal stories in her art.
There will be time for questions from participants.
From a young age, Sami has always felt essential to express herself through art. She moved from Hong Kong to Canada for the Specialized Art Program at H. B. Beal Secondary school in 2012. Beal introduced Sami to a wider range of visual arts, where she discovered her passion for clay. Sami obtained her BFA in ceramics and graduated from Sheridan College in 2019. She was accepted as a candidate in the Master of Fine Art Program at Alfred University in fall 2019.
Donations to the event support the artist. Thank you.
