Event description
How can you use design to create better services and products in government? Bring your a lunch and come learn!

About this Event

"The future of government transformation is better design"—Lou Downe, GOV.UK

In this Lunch & Learn session, Code for Canada fellow, Pallavi will present a case study of the CRASH and FLOW redesign. She'll chart the journey of a research insight from a user, how the insight was then developed into a product feature, and iterated upon through usability testing.

Attendees will gain insight into:

  1. Creating a simple research plan, deciding what methodologies to use, and why
  2. Identifying and interviewing users (domain and technical interviews vs. user interviews)
  3. Synthesizing and making sense of qualitative data—specifically the complex and tiered web of roles, departments, and data in government
  4. Defining the problem you’re trying to solve
