Developing Stress Management Skills

Description:
This interactive workshop provides practical tools for understanding and managing stress in everyday life. Participants will explore how stress shows up in personal, social, and work settings, and learn strategies to reduce its impact. Through guided discussion and hands-on practice, the workshop creates a supportive space to build resilience, balance, and confidence when facing challenging situations.
Objective:
By engaging in group discussion and experiential exercises, participants will:
- Identify stressors: Recognize common situations, thoughts, and patterns that contribute to heightened stress.
- Learn calming techniques: Practice evidence-based strategies such as breathing, grounding, and relaxation exercises.
- Develop coping skills: Explore practical approaches for managing tension, rumination, and physical symptoms of stress.
- Build resilience: Strengthen confidence in navigating demanding moments with greater calm and self-awareness.

Eligibility:
All clients must be 16 years or older and reside in Canada and they can be:
- Canadian citizens
- Approved Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program applicants (excluding International Student stream)
- Refugee claimants or emergency visitors with a 900-series SIN and open work permit
- Temporary workers approved in principle for permanent residence
- Completion of our General Intake form is mandatory
