Diabetes Workshop - Advanced

We welcome health care professionals from Alberta to our Advanced Diabetes Workshop.

The 4.5 hour advanced diabetes workshop includes considerable opportunity to practice bolus starts and complex insulin adjustments. Cases involve the creation, analysis and adjustment of basal/bolus insulin regimes using insulin-to-carbohydrate ratios (ICR), insulin sensitivity factors (ISF) and percent basal/bolus splits. The AHS Endocrinology and Metabolism Guidelines for Insulin Adjustment: Desktop Reference is used extensively in this workshop, particularly in the analysis of blood glucose results that are erratic.
