Theme: Navigating Emotional Turbulence Duration: 90 minutes (7:00 PM – 8:30 PM) Format: In-person group session ⸻ 7:00 – 7:10 PM — Welcome & Group Orientation • Facilitator introduction and background • Overview of the 8-week journey and session themes • Review of privacy, confidentiality & group respect guidelines (Guidelines align with the goal of providing emotional support, structure, and safety.) 7:10 – 7:20 PM — Participant Introductions • Each participant briefly shares name & what brought them here (optional) • Set expectations: no pressure to disclose personal details • Build comfort and early trust within group (Consistent with the program’s therapeutic, community-building objectives.)  ⸻ 7:20 – 7:35 PM — Overview of Emotional Turbulence After Separation • What emotional turbulence is • Why confusion, fear, anger & sadness occur • Normalizing emotional overwhelm after divorce (Matches the theme of Week 1: understanding overwhelming emotions.)

Coping Strategies & Emotional Recovery Tools
