The virtual open house will include a presentation of the Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan from Stantac and Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo subject matter experts followed by a question and answer period. Questions can be asked throughout the virtual open house through the Q&A chat. We encourage all residents to participate and to review the Focus Area maps prior to the meeting.

Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan
The Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) will provide a roadmap for the revitalization and development of downtown Fort McMurray.
The main goal is to create spaces that will be used and enjoyed by residents of the entire region. Every policy, initiative, design and recommendation is intended to establish the downtown as a community-focused environment that people can play, work, live and invest in.
Did we get it right?
In 2019, residents were asked what a revitalized downtown would look like. It’s time to share what we heard as we develop a new Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan.
