Curated by Juno Award Winner Scott Morin, each Soul at the Attic show features a rotating lineup of top-tier local and touring musicians, blending their own take on soulful music with fresh, inspired performances.

This series is meant to give Calgary's huge audience of soulful music fans a chance to hear specially-curated concerts and ensembles that you will not hear anywhere else. Each Soul at the Attic show is an experience filling the wide range of genres and influences that fall under the soulful music umbrella, married with a venue offering specially created cocktails and an incredible menu of pizza and pasta.

Steely Dan's discography is one of the most revered in rock history. Their singular blend of hook laden jazz infused rock and pop, coupled with unmatched production values and stellar musicianship, have stood the test of time and built a highly devoted and loyal fan base that spans generations.

Steely Dan tribute bands are nothing new of course, but the high standards of execution and demanding musicality of their catalogue make putting and keeping one together a notoriously difficult lift. Easy Dan's takes a different approach. The high level of execution and musical sophistication is still there of course, but the sound is more "unplugged" and acoustic, retaining the essence of the material without trying to sound exactly like the classic albums.

Anchored by Ian Menzies on vocals and nylon string acoustic guitar, with an upright bassists, percussionists, and background vocalist joining Ian to create familiar and full sounding versions of all their hits, and many deep cut gems as well. As well known and dearly beloved as Steely Dan is, there aren't a lot ensembles out their who exclusively perform their stuff. Easy Dan is here to change that, one gig at a time.
