Overview

Join us for 7 workshops, to learn more about artificial intelligence (AI), while also learning to code!

Exploring AI: the Good, the Bad, & Beyond is a series of seven online workshops that run from 10am -12 pm every Saturday between January 17 to March 7 (except for February 14). In this workshop series, Grade 8-12 students will explore artificial intelligence (AI), while learning more about generative AI, ethics of AI, and real-world uses of AI in STEM fields.

  • Saturday, March 7 ~ 10am - 12 pm ~ AI & Cybersecurity

Important notes (please read before signing up)

  • We recommend having some experience in text-based coding before joining this program.
  • All workshops will be offered virtually via Zoom.
  • There are limited spots available in this program because we want to ensure that every student receives the support necessary to maximize their experience in this program. Please do not sign up if you know you will miss more than one workshop in this 7-week program.
  • Students who attend at least 6 workshops will receive a certificate of completion at the end of this program.
  • If you sign up and do not wish to attend the program, please cancel your registration as soon as possible so we can fill the spot with students from the waitlist.
  • Please be respectful of the guidelines so that we can continue to offer such programs at no cost.


Workshop requirements


Key Dates and Times

  • The deadline to sign up is Monday, January 12 at 11:59 pm PT.
  • A confirmation email with the Zoom link will be sent to registrants on Tuesday, January 13.
  • Students can join the workshops at 9:30 am, which is 30 minutes before the start time, for students who wish to test their setup (e.g. is my audio working?).
  • Instructor office hours will be offered after each workshop to ask questions and get feedback about their code.
