A 5-workshop series on growing and preserving food in the fall

About this event

We've heard many of our friends, neighbours and community members say they don't garden because they don't know how, they can't afford it, they missed the season, they don't know what to do with all the food... and so on. But home gardening at home doesn't have to be difficult or expensive... and it's never too late to start, even if it's cold outside.

That's why Our Food Future, the Guelph Seed Library, 10C Shared Space and your workshop host, The Community Farmer have come together to bring you this autumn home gardening workshop series that will make you FALL in love with growing.

In this workshop series you'll learn about:

  • Fall planting and spring prep
  • Container gardening in small spaces
  • Growing in cold weather
  • Saving seeds to save money and boost local food security
  • Preservation techniques so you can enjoy your hard work year-round!

Each workshop comes with a kit to help you get started on your journey to becoming a confident and fruitful home gardener!
