CRUNE is a ferocious prayer of music calling upon drum machines, theremin, synths, and shapeshifting vocals, articulating raw emotional intensity, Haunting and theatrical. CRUNE explores themes of fantasy, sexuality, gender, and magick through otherworldly personas, rooted in punk, ambient, industrial, and EBM. Ever since I saw them in Detroit years ago when opening for Plaque Blague I knew I had to book them some day, and I'm so glad I am finally getting the chance!! You've gotta see 'em!!!

Toronto-based electronic DJ, producer, and composer, Kate Mior, aka DJ HATE Mior, is a multi-faceted performer who ran away from the circus to join the music industry. Transitioning from nearly two-decades performing the solo street show titled ‘Madame Guillotine,’ Kate made a bold shift during the COVID-19 pandemic, to create a radio station on Twitch that blended their physical comedy chops with a green screen. Kate’s shows ‘Listening Party’ and ‘Day Drunk’ quickly gained traction, captivating audiences worldwide.

Amid lockdown, Kate exploded onto the scene with innovative performances that garnered international acclaim, leading to guest appearances on festival livestreams and musical collaborations with established bands. Notably, Kate became the first DJ interviewed by Sounds and Shadows Magazine for their show ‘Isolation: the Story of the Life and Death of Ian Curtis.’

During the pandemic, Kate volunteered at the Cecil Community Centre in Kensington Market, spinning tunes to boost morale during COVID-19 vaccinations. Since lockdowns eased, Kate’s artistry has taken them to festivals across Canada, the USA, and Europe, presenting original music installations and live remixing DJ sets paired with live animation.

Kate’s notable performances include appearances at Terminus Festival in Calgary, Eisbar Festival in Toronto, and as a guest panelist and headlining DJ at the Unconvention in New Jersey’s legendary QXT’s nightclub. They have spoken on panels covering topics ranging from the history of politics in Industrial music to the Twitch revolution online.

Kate is also honoured to be a member of the Juno Awards Electronic Album of the Year committee, and a juror for the esteemed Polaris Prize. Kate also co-produces Darkness Forever, with their DJ partner Vernal Trash, curating shows that showcase emerging talent in the darkwave scene from across North America and Europe, in addition to their own club nights featuring cutting-edge new dark dance music.

In 2023, Kate launched their solo musical project, MNNHVNTR, further expanding their artistic horizons.

AKA Babette de Jong born and raised by a static TV in the Hammer is a punny creative and queer musician, producer, event organizer, promoter, DIYer, and small shop owner dedicated to the dark and experimental scenes. Supporting indie music in Southern Ontario since 1996, an event organizer since 2004, and was assistant manager/ head buyer of a record store for nearly 20 years. Runs monthly events Fascination Dark DJ Nights and Noise Night. In bands Banananananana (we love London ever so!), Barbaric Slaptonne, and Fatal Flaw+. Previously half of Concavity, a darkwave project that shared the stage with bands such as Soft Moon, Odonis Odonis, Hide, Foreign Resort, Plaque Blague, Kontravoid, and more. Repping up her DJ, music, and fashion muscles in 2026 and beyond! So happy to be in London even more often now, you cats rule!!
