Feminist Supervision Is for Everybody - Micro Course 1 - March 2026
Overview
Feminist Supervision is for Everybody Post Graduate Course
(45h Continuing Education Credits)
Clinical Supervision for a Humane and Sustainable Future
Welcome to a series of three micro-courses in feminist clinical supervision instructed by feminist therapist and supervisor Jennifer Hollinshead, MA, RCC-ACS, CCC-S. Inspiration for the title is from bell hooks’ Feminism is for everybody - an accessible explanation of intersectional feminism... for clients, clinicians, supervisors and educators in the psychotherapy field.
Completing all three micro-courses (45 h of instruction including direct observation) results in a certificate in Advanced Clinical Supervision.
This course is approved by the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Each 15-hour micro-course instills an evidence-based, feminist supervision framework that creates deeper, safer therapeutic and supervisory relationships.
Feminist therapy and supervision goes beyond ethical, effective and evidence-based mental health care. We often heal and liberate clients, counsellors, supervisors and our communities.
Not familiar with feminist therapy theory? You can start learning with the article “if it’s not feminist, it’s not therapy (or supervision)”.
Who is welcome to attend?
- These three micro-courses meet the needs of diverse counselling professionals working in a variety of settings such as agencies, universities or associations wanting to practice ethical and effective psychotherapy
- Each micro-course is suitable for therapists with a relevant Masters degree and at least five years experience providing ethical and effective therapy
- Students will get a basic overview of feminist therapy principles throughout, but we also recommend they attend feminist therapy training for trauma recovery if feminist therapy theory is newer to you.
- You can take all three courses concurrently to gain your certificate in the shortest amount of time
- You can also choose to take the first micro-course to see if you'd like to continue to get the full certificate in advanced clinical supervision
- Payment for first course will be taken at the time of your registration.
- Students who choose to pay for all three micro-courses prior to starting the first course will receive a 10% discount on the pre-tax price. Please email admin@peak-resilience.com for more information.
- Total for all three micro-courses is $1130CAD.

Meet your instructor:
Jennifer Hollinshead (they/them) instructs each course, using examples from various mental health settings to break down clinical supervision and consultation in practical, readily applicable ways. Jennifer started their counselling career in 2006 as a midnight-shift relief worker in a shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence. Since then, she has become passionate (obsessive?) in helping people recover from sexual trauma, intergenerational trauma, childhood abuse and complex PTSD so they can continue to resist pathological systems like patriarchy, white supremacy, colonialism and exploitative capitalism.
Jennifer pulls from evidence-based therapies (including ACT, AEDP, CBT, DBT, EMDR) while using feminist therapy theory to empower even the most acute, complex clients. They are creative and curious in their supervision work, with the audacious goal of leaving this world more feminist than when they entered.
Jennifer has extensive clinical supervision training from the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, Dr. Laura Brown, Janet White and Vikki Reynolds(ongoing).
She founded a feminist, alternative practice called Peak Resilience in 2015 and has been providing clinical supervision (and supervision of supervision) to student counsellors and experienced practitioners looking to thrive in the mental health field while transforming it to be less oppressive.
