First-Year Check-In for International Students

First-Year Check-In for International Students

By International Student and Study Abroad Centre, University of Saskatchewan

Overview

Connect, share, and enjoy lunch with fellow first-year international students!

Starting Fall 2025 Term, ISSAC is hosting monthly lunch-hour gatherings designed for first-year international students at USask. These sessions are a great opportunity to connect with peers, share experiences, and explore topics that matter most during your first year, all while enjoying a variety of culturally diverse meals.

Join ISSAC for our first Winter 2026 check-in, where we sit down with senior international students for an unfiltered chat about life at USask. We are sharing the honest truth - from big academic wins to the "oops" moments and struggles that no one talks about. Whether you need "hacks" for navigating Canvas, advice on making friends, or tips for surviving the cold, our speakers have "been there, done that." We’ll have a live anonymous Q&A so you can get the answers you actually need.
