Session 2: Assessing and managing threats of targeted violience in health-care settings

Speaker: Christine Robinson, Founder, Threat Shield Consulting

This highly interactive session will cover the fundamentals of Behavioural Threat Assessment and Management and will familiarize health-care security professionals with established methods used to assess, mitigate and manage potential threats of targeted violence. Important threat assessment concepts covered will include ‘Hunters vs. Howlers’, the Pathway to Intended Violence the eight Warning Behaviours, and more. Creating robust threat assessment and management teams, and violence prevention strategies will also be explored. Attendees will have the option to participate in web-based live polls, surveys, scenarios, and question and answer forums to enhance learning.
