Four in-person Strengthening DEIB workshops
Overview
These in-person workshops are part of the Strengthening DEIB series and build on DEIB certificate workshops
Participants may register for individual sessions ($250 each) or for the full four-session series ($800) with one checkout.
All sessions run from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and take place at Westinghouse HQ, 286 Sanford Ave N, Hamilton.
Participants who attend all four sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion from Empower Strategy Group.

MODULE 1:
Race, Power, and Psychological Safety at Work
Wednesday, March 11, 2026
A practice-based workshop exploring how race and power influence behaviour, team dynamics and organisational culture.
Expected Outcome:
Participants will leave with a deeper awareness of the relationship between power, race and team behaviour, and the ability to take practical steps that support psychological safety.
MODULE 2:
Embedding Humility in Leadership

This workshop examines systemic barriers and their impact on racialized employees while introducing cultural humility and anti-racist practice.
Expected Outcome:
Participants will understand how systemic barriers function and how cultural humility strengthens leadership and organisational fairness.
MODULE 3:
Unpacking Race, Equity and Privilege
Wednesday, June 10, 2026
An interactive session exploring how race, equity and privilege shape access, opportunity and experiences in the workplace.
Expected Outcome:
Participants will leave with a stronger ability to recognise inequities and apply anti-racist strategies that support fairness and belonging.
MODULE 4:
Governing in a Diverse and Complex Environment
July 8, 2026, 9:30 am to 11:30 am
This session looks at equity, diversity and inclusion through the lens of governance and leadership. It explores how boards and senior leaders can strengthen oversight, mitigate risk and make strategic decisions with fairness and credibility in mind.Wednesday, July 8, 2026
Expected Outcome:
Participants will walk away with practical insight into how diversity and complexity influence governance, what questions boards should be asking, and how to align equity with risk management and organizational strategy.
