Alex’s residency at KOAC is focused on deepening his technical practice in oil, gouache, watercolor, and charcoal while cultivating a contemplative relationship with the surrounding landscape. Through this practice, he aims to translate moments of meditation and observation in the park into expressive studio works.
The Open Studio Q&A invites visitors to ask questions and share reflections. As Alex notes, “This type of community engagement serves both audience and myself as insight into the technical and mental process at play.”
Come and take part in this dialogue between artist, environment, and audience at the Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre.
