What is Encaustic?
Encaustic is an ancient art form using heat to melt natural beeswax and dammar resin. It can be used alone or mixed with pigments to create rich textures and vibrant colors. Each layer is applied and reheated to fuse with the previous one, resulting in a dynamic, long-lasting work of art.
By the end of the workshop, you will leave with two original encaustic pieces and a deeper understanding of texture, layering, and the expressive potential of encaustic painting.
