FutureReady Zoom Room: Mindfulness

ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCE SESSION - (Link will be sent via email to all participants)

Right now, we are all tested with the disruption brought on by COVID-19. Even before this, life too offered moments of growth and challenges. How do we walk our time on Earth as a mindful being? Let’s start by living fully in the “present”, after all, it is a gift. We will spend 30 minutes together practicing the exercise of breathing deeply, living in the moment and accepting to happenings around us. Come as you are, bring a drink/snack and make yourself comfortable as we zoom together.

Facilitator: Niem Huynh, PhD, PPCC

Geographer. Inquirer. Risk-taker (calculated). She is an educator and geographer by training and applies those skills to her role at Concordia University. Niem's diverse professional experience working in different positions within the university and non-profit sectors has ignited her interest in how people navigate their career paths and the role of soft skills (e.g., networking, negotiating, public speaking) in the process. She has been invited to give talks on these topics in the community and also academic circles for students and job seekers.
