How much food  and drinks are served on the tour?

Accepted Answer

There are 4 stops . For most people, there is enough food tastings that they feel they had a full meal. You should come hungry!

Food allergies or special dietary restrictions?

Accepted Answer

Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Any special requests must be made 24 hrs before tour. We cannot take responsibility for any allergic reactions. Note that the substitute tastings may not be up to par with original tastings.

Question 3

How many people can attend a tour?

There is a maximum of 16 people per tour, and we require a minimum of 4 guests for a tour to operate. We reserve the right to cancel any tour that has less than 4 tour guests.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are 100% refundable with the option to reschedule with 24 hours advance notice. No refunds for no show or late comers.

Is tour operating in bad weather?

Tour operates rain or shine. Vancouver tends to get a lot of rain October-April. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather on the day of your tour.

Are tours offered only in English?

Yes, we currently only offer tours in English.

Does the tour accept children?

Accepted Answer

Children are welcome on this tours. Please bear in mind that some children may struggle to stay focused for the duration of the tour. Tours are typically quite structured and focused, meaning it may not be appropriate for all children. Strollers cannot be accommodated due to smaller venues.

Are dogs allowed on the tour?

Due to the health regulations that govern the various food establishments we visit; pets of any kind are not allowed on our tours. Only authorized guide dogs are allowed.

Is tour wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, Gastown Food Tour cannot accommodate wheelchairs due to the many narrow sidewalks, uneven cobblestone streets and certain staircases that we use when entering food partner establishments. We suggest booking our North Van Tour instead.

Tour cancellations

If a tour does not meet the minimum required number of 4 tour guests, Taste Vancouver Food Tours reserves the right to cancel the tour and reschedule tour guests to another date or give a refund.
