For Science Odyssey Week MindFuel and partner, Amino Labs, will host an interactive S.T.E.A.M. workshop that will showcase new tools and methods to teach genetic engineering concepts and skills to your students.

Educators will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities that they can bring back to their classrooms:

  • Learn about core topics such as DNA, evolution, cells, and macromolecules

  • Explore online simulations: The Virtual Bioengineer

  • Make living “bioart” by streaking bacteria onto prepared plates

  • Receive a free copy of Zero to Genetic Engineering Hero Guidebook

This professional learning event is open to Grade 8-12 teachers.

- No prior lab experience is required

- No traditional lab space required in your classroom

Help prepare your students to partake in the biological world of tomorrow by introducing hands-on genetic engineering skills and concepts in the classroom today!

Attendees must bring their laptop to this workshop.
