GMG’s two current geometallurgy projects – Guideline for Common Data Reporting in Geometallurgy and Guideline for Representative Sampling in Geometallurgy – are entering their final phases of content development and you are invited to hear how they have progressed. Join this session to get highlights of project progress to date, provide feedback on the work completed, and look ahead to the priorities for 2026.

These projects are helping the industry tackle two of its biggest data challenges:

  • Guideline for Common Data Reporting in Geometallurgy aims to standardize how geometallurgical and mineralogical data is reported, shared, and used across mining organizations. By developing clear, consistent templates and terminology, the project will improve data is integrated and analyzed across the value chain.
  • Guideline for Representative Sampling in Geometallurgy establishes best practices for geometallurgical sampling by providing clear, actionable considerations encompassing the evaluation of sample representativity, sample selection, and sample management.
