Come to this workshop and learn a few tips to help you overcome your hesitation. Learn how to narrate your own story on the mic to inspire others into action. Through practice in the workshop, you will gain the confidence skills you need to get yourself out there!

Trainer: Jennifer Huang is a transit activist with TTCriders and an educator with Unifor, Canada’s largest private sector union. She was formerly an organizer with the Toronto & York Region Labour Council where she organized various campaigns to defend workers’ rights, to raise the minimum wage, and to build a network of activists. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys swimming, riding her bike or going for a walk with her infant daughter.
Accessibiity: The building and room is wheelchair accessible. There are some gender neutral washrooms in the building. The closest accessible subway is St. George Station. Subway tokens are available upon request.

Tools for Change is a project of OPIRG Toronto, Earthroots, Greenpeace Canada, OPIRG York, the Community Action Centre of the Student Association at George Brown College and No One Is Illegal (NOII). We help you develop skills to champion social, economic, and environmental justice. We host over 20 workshops a year. Workshop are offered on a sliding scale of $20, $30 and $50 and scholarships are available.
