The Grande Prairie Inclusive and Caring Community Initiative (GPICC) aims to bring together newcomers, employers, service providers, and cultural organizations to create a more inclusive community where newcomers have an opportunity to thrive and participate in the local economy.
We are conducting focus groups and workshops to:
- Gather input on needs, gaps, and opportunities related to employing and integrating newcomers into the workplace and community
- Share information about the resources, services, and programs available dedicated to newcomer settlement and labour market integration
Findings will be used to create a “Best Practices Roadmap” that charts a path for how newcomers, employers, and organizations can come together to create a welcoming and inclusive community.
