Grow Native Plants from Seed: Winter Sowing Workshop

Grow Native Plants from Seed: Winter Sowing Workshop

By Bendale Butterflyway

Overview

Learn how to sow native seeds at this hands-on workshop on Sunday, January 18.

Looking to create or expand a pollinator garden on a budget? At this free event, you'll learn about the low-cost technique of "winter sowing." You'll get free seeds to sow, your own pot of soil where you'll sow seeds on the spot, and then you'll take it home and put it outside in the cold. It will experience winter and toughen up!

In the spring, the seeds will sprout. You'll get native seedlings that will support butterflies, bees and birds.

Registration required.
