We wanted a community where developers and designers of all skill-levels and interests could come together and freely discuss everything web, front to back. So we made it, it's called HFX.js.
Are you into the latest design trends? Great! Do you want to share and hear about all things JavaScript? Perfect!
This event will have speakers with varying backgrounds discussing front-end, and web tech. We will have 1 lightning talk from an up-and-coming techie, and 1 full talk from a senior engineer with years of experience in the field of web. We encourage students, hobbyist, and professionals alike to come and join in creating the most open, and inclusive front-end community we can!
This event will be held at the Dash Hudson offices in downtown Kjipuktuk (Halifax). There will be snacks and drinks for everyone.
Halihax mission is to inspire, connect, and grow the builders and creators of the Atlantic Canadian technology ecosystem. Halihax offers a suite of resources to engage with the regional technology and startup community. Operating primarily as an online community through Slack, we offer a space for anyone to collaborate and learn with leading industry experts, and share support for local initiatives. Kedejra Cameron
Full Stack Development Student @ NSCC
Kedejra is a full-stack developer from Jamaica, currently located in Halifax, NS. She is engaged in learning as much as possible, and open to exciting opportunities in the software development scene.
Alex Lockhart
Sr. Software Developer II @ Datasite
Born and raised in Halifax, Alex has worked as a full-stack developer for a number of years across web and mobile building products with everything from Angular to React, from React Native to Swift, from Java to Kotlin. Currently, he spends his days standardizing API practices and building the Datasite API platform.

Alex will give a presentations about their current focus involving front end development and web tech.
