Are you looking for a place in YYC to deepen your yoga practice and build community?
Perhaps you’ve hit a wall within your practice, where you’re looking to move past asana (physical posture) and into a more holistic practice involving the 8 limbs of yoga?
Join me every Monday evening in YYC from 5:30-6:30PM starting January 06,2026. With variations offered and a focus on each individual, this is an all levels class.
Traditional Hatha Yoga:
In summary, Hatha yoga has a focus on balancing the body’s many vital energy systems to create harmony between physical body, breath, and inner state.
It encourages us to embrace all aspects of ourselves.
This class will offer classical Hatha Yoga, with practices including:
-Āsana
-Prānāyāma
-Mudrā
-Mantrā and soundwork
Guiding principles and teachings will be focused on Patanjali’s 8 Limbs of Yoga:
-Yama (ethical principles/restraints)
-Niyama (self observances)
-Āsana (physical practice)
-Prānāyāma (breath and life-force energy)
-Pratyāhāra (withdrawal of senses, internal focus)
-Dhāranā (concentration)
-Dhyāna (meditation)
-Samādhi (absorption/unity)
We will explore the true depths of these practices together! This is an all levels class, where variations and a focus on each individual will be offered.
About me:
My name is Cassaundra but I go by Cass! I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and a yoga/breathwork teacher. My yoga and breathwork training is from both Akhanda Yoga Institute, India and Yoga Beyond, Calgary. With years of experience under my belt, I started my hollistic wellness business HeartSpace Connections in 2022.
