Un officier désillusionné de la Wehrmacht, le colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, et ses complices tentent d'assassiner Adolf Hitler le 20 juillet 1944. - Le film retrace les préparatifs et l'échec final de la tentative d'assassinat d'Adolf Hitler le 20 juillet 1944. Seules deux coïncidences - Stauffenberg a été dérangé alors qu'il affûtait la charge explosive et, dans la salle de réunion bondée, il n'a pas pu placer la charge à l'endroit le plus propice - ont sauvé le dictateur de la mort. Enfin, des incertitudes dans la transmission des messages ont retardé le lancement du coup d'État prévu jusqu'à l'arrivée de Stauffenberg à Berlin. Après la guerre, un ingénieur civil, l'ancien capitaine Lindner, et l'une des secrétaires d'Hitler, Hildegard Klee, se souviennent de ces jours dans la cour de l'ancien bâtiment de l'OKW sur la Bendlerstraße.

La série "Je suis CONTRE! - Indignation, protestation et résistance au cinéma" est présenté par le Goethe-Institut Montréal en collaboration avec les étudiants du Collège Maisonneuve. Les projections de bienfaisance serviront à financer un voyage des étudiant.e.s à Berlin dans le cadre du Festival international du film de Berlin en février 2026.

A disillusioned Wehrmacht officer named Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg and his co-conspirators attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler on 20 July 1944. - This documentary-style film recounts the preparations for and ultimate failure of the assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler on July 20, 1944. Only two coincidences—Stauffenberg was disturbed while sharpening the explosive charge, and in the crowded meeting room he was unable to place the charge in the most favorable location—saved the dictator from death. Finally, uncertainties in the transmission of messages delayed the launch of the planned coup until Stauffenberg arrived in Berlin. After the war, a civil engineer, former Captain Lindner, and one of Hitler's secretaries, Hildegard Klee, recall those days in the courtyard of the former OKW building on Bendlerstraße.

The film series "Against it! - Indignation, protest and resistance in film" is presented by the Goethe-Institut Montreal in collaboration with students from Collège Maisonneuve.The donations collected at these screenings will be used to fund a trip for students to Berlin as part of the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2026.
