About the Speakers:

Carrie-Anne Whyte is a Program Lead with HDRN Canada's Data Access Support Hub (DASH). She is located at the Canadian Institute for Health Information, an HDRN member organization, where she has worked for the last decade. Her areas of focus include analysis, methodology and health data. Prior to her career at CIHI and HDRN Canada, Carrie-Anne held roles with the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Carrie-Anne holds a Master of Public Health from McGill University.

Grant Gibson is the Assistant Director of Research and Evaluation at the Canadian Research Data Centre Network (CRDCN) where he has responsibilities in data collection and management, research partnerships and training programming. He holds a doctorate in Economics from McMaster University, specializing in economic demography and public economics, and has experience with a wide variety of data, both survey and administrative.  

Grant is actively involved in the reproducibility and research data management communities. As part of the Canadian Research Data Management Network of Experts, he serves as co-chair of the Digital Research Alliance of Canada’s Sensitive Data Experts group. He also works with a variety of other partners in the Canadian research data ecosystem to inform programming and services.
