Originating from art therapy and community arts practices, Open Studio provides a self-directed, supportive space where you can freely express yourself.

We offer Open Studio because creativity is a powerful tool for both healing and resistance.

In a world that often demands conformity and quick fixes, art becomes an act of reclamation —a way to tell your story, challenge dominant narratives, and nurture resilience.

This space encourages you to slow down, connect with your inner wisdom and creativity, and build strength through both self-expression and community support.

Open Studio is open to everyone; no prior art experience is needed.

Here, you are free to explore with materials, follow your intuition, and create at your own pace. The process is about discovery, not perfection, and a reminder how creative play is a radical way of building resilience.

Why attend Open Studio?

Through Open Studio, participants can experience:

  • Creative expression as healing: giving shape to feelings and stories that may be hard to express in words.
  • Empowerment and growth: reclaiming your narrative and cultivating inner strength.
  • Community and connection: being witnessed, encouraged, and supported by others in a safe space.
  • Mindfulness and slowing down: stepping out of daily busyness and finding presence through art-making.
