Is this a ladies only event?

No! Bring your lords and dukes, dandies and rakes. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Do I have to dress to my gender?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not! Dress to impress and as you see fit. We only encourage you to try to dress historically inspired. Think gowns and suits or something historical to  17th -19th century. Think Versailles/18th century, Georgian, Regency, Victorian, Edwardian, Jane Austen/Bridgerton. We will post ideas.

What is the age limit?

Due to having a cash bar we have this as an 18+ only event.

Where do I find a costume?

Accepted Answer

Check buy and sell, ask a seamstress, dust out the closet and find something elegant from your wedding. Check out the thrift shops and put together an ensemble. Check out youtube for ideas. You can also buy things online like Amazon or Etsy. Empire waist gowns and waist coats, & long gloves

What are the games?

We will have quizzes, guess the historical object, raffles, and how to 'speak with the fan' demonstration. The Duke and Duchess will be there to pick the 'Diamond of Edson' (best dressed individual and pair)

I am gluten -free/dietary restricted, can I come?

Please make sure to let us know once your purchase a ticket so we can inform the caterer to make an option for you or adjust our menu.

What is included with my ticket?

You get to have an afternoon of fun, filled with prizes, raffles, cash bar, tea, high tea food (sandwiches, scones, and desserts), photobooth, welcome gifts, and more! All proceeds go towards supporting community projects with the Rotary Club of Edson such as Newborn Book Packages, Scholarships etc.
