This is a Free In-Person Event at Banyen Books in Vancouver.

Bhola Nath Banstola, a 27th-generation Nepali Jhankri and internationally respected teacher, offers a rare Vancouver talk on ancestral lineage and the living Himalayan shamanic tradition.

In this special Vancouver visit—his first to North America in over a decade—Bhola will share teachings on the role of ancestry and lineage in Nepali Dhami–Jhankri shamanism, including the elemental spirits, sacred songs, and ritual foundations that shape this ancient path. Drawing from his lifelong lineage training, dream-instruction, and decades of international teaching, he will offer insight into how these practices unfold within Himalayan culture, as well as their connections to pre-Buddhist Bön lineages and the wider tapestry of Himalayan wisdom.

Bhola Nath Banstola is a 27th-generation Jhankri (shaman) of Nepal whose shamanic path was transmitted through his family lineage, human and spirit teachers, and direct guidance in dreams. He is the co-author of The Nepalese Shamanic Path and the author of Working with the Elemental Spirits. Bhola teaches internationally in Europe and Asia, leads experiential pilgrimages in Nepal, and is dedicated to preserving traditional Himalayan shamanic knowledge while supporting education for Nepali children. He teaches in English and divides his time between Nepal and Italy.
