Overview

Is your idea meant to be a business? A risk-free introduction to self-employment.

Not sure if self-employment is right for you? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out alone either.

This beginner-friendly session is designed for anyone who’s thinking about starting a business, dabbling in a hobby that might have income potential, or wondering if entrepreneurship is even a good fit. Whether you’re dreaming of a side hustle, testing an idea, or just trying to make sense of your options, this workshop will help you explore three clear paths:

Hustle – turn your idea into income

Hobby – keep it fun, no pressure

Hard No – decide it’s not for you (and that’s okay!)

We’ll walk through what self-employment really looks like, how to assess your time and resources, and how to match your skills to low-cost business ideas. You’ll also get tools to help you validate your idea, reflect on your readiness, and make a confident, informed decision about your next step.
