Let's dive deep into the world of burnout, learn how to spot it, and tackle it head-on together!

The session focuses on recognizing the signs and causes of caregiver burnout—a state of mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion often triggered by juggling multiple responsibilities.

We’ll explore common stressors such as job demands, caregiver fatigue, and interpersonal conflicts, and discuss practical strategies to prevent or manage burnout in the workplace.

Facilitator

Karen Cuthbertson is the Manager, Support Services for Caregivers Alberta, based in Calgary. Her role is to support people in navigating the challenging role of being a caregiver for a family member or friend. Karen is a “sandwich generation” caregiver herself, caring for both young adults as well as aging parents. She has extensive experience working in youth mental health, dementia, and cancer care. She has a Master of Science in Psychology as well as 20+ years’ experience working in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
