Indigenei-"TEA"
Overview
Please join us for a special and respectful gathering around the cup. In this unique "Tea Time," we are honored to welcome Elder Yvonne Chamakese to share generations of knowledge on the plants that heal, nourish, and connect us to the land.
This is more than a tasting; it is an opportunity to listen, learn, and build understanding. Our elder will guide us through the stories, protocols, and traditional uses of local plants, offering wisdom on how these medicines support physical, spiritual, and community wellbeing.
What to Expect:
- Elder-led Teachings: A heartfelt sharing on the cultural significance and responsible use of specific indigenous teas and medicines.
- A Shared Cup: The opportunity to respectfully sample traditional teas, prepared with intention.
- Q&A & Dialogue: A respectful space for curious questions and deeper conversation.
- Community Connection: A chance to gather in a good way, fostering gratitude and relationship.
This event is offered in a spirit of reconciliation and learning. We are grateful for the generosity of knowledge-sharing.
