Description
Testify : Indigenous Laws + the Arts is a celebration of Indigenous Laws as expressed through art. The dialogue invited by the “Testify” project puts the idea of reconciliation into practice by creating a space for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians to dream a way forward which respects and reflects the diversity, strength and hope embodied within Indigenous traditions.
Performance will feature:
Script Reading - Boundary Bay by Justin Neal in collaboration with Sarah Morales
Performance - (Il)legal Let us Cry - Mariel Belanger in collaboration with Greg Younging
Dialogue with the artist/authors of Testify including: Nadya Kwandibens, Jeffery Hewitt, Louise Mandell, Shain Jackson, Halie Bruce, Ardith Walkem, Pamela Shields, Jade Baxter, Maxine Matilpi, Georgia Lloyd-Smith, and Gwaii Edenshaw.
