Africa Centre is now accepting applications for Cohort 7 of the Ujima Fellowship Program, a leadership development program for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous or a Person of Colour) youth living in Edmonton and Calgary.
Join us for our virtual Information Sessions to ensure your success through the Fellowship application, participation and placement process.
Virtual Information Sessions:
- Dec. 19, 2025 at 6 p.m.
- Jan. 9, 2026 at 6 p.m.
The deadline to apply is on Jan. 15, 2026. The Fellowship begins in February 2026 and continues until July 2026.

The Ujima Fellowship is a leadership development program for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous or a Person of Colour) youth living in Edmonton and Calgary. It is designed to increase representation in decision-making spaces by preparing young people to serve on a civic agency, board, commission, or committee (ABCC).
