Insomnia, Don't Sleep On It! Tips from Dr. Thanh Dang-Vu

About this event
Insomnia is a disorder characterized by trouble falling asleep and/or staying asleep. It is estimated that insomnia affects about 9-10% of the adult population. In this webinar, Dr. Thanh Dang-Vu will discuss this common sleep disorder along with tips to restoring a more restful night's sleep. Dr. Thanh Dang-Vu is a Neurologist, a Professor and a Concordia University Research Chair in Sleep, Neuroimaging and Cognitive Health, at the Centre for Studies in Behavioral Neurobiology. His research interests include insomnia, the pathophysiology of sleep disorders and brain rhythms during sleep.
This webinar is free, open to the public, and will be given in English and French on Friday, March 26th, 2021. The English webinar will begin at 3:30 pm (EST) and the French webinar will begin at 4:30 pm (EST). You can register for the French webinar here. This year marks the first annual "Move for Sleep" challenge brought to you by the Canadian Sleep Society (CSS) and the Canadian Sleep and Circadian Network (CSCN) Trainee Task Force. "Move for Sleep" is a fun 5K activity challenge of your choice (running, snowshoeing, biking, etc.) and the funds raised from this event will go towards our first annual Trainee Project 2021 grant. This grant was designed by trainees for trainees to support ongoing or proposed student projects that promote healthy sleep in the general public."
